Gibson's girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva delivered a baby girl, according to RadarOnline.
Grigorieva gave birth to the couple's daughter on Oct. 30, which was a few weeks before her anticipated due date. No details yet.
The news of Gibson and Grigorieva's affair resulted in Mel's wife Robyn - married to Mel for nearly 30 years and mother of seven of his children -- to file for divorce in April of 2009.
The couple released a statement saying: "Throughout our marriage and separation we have always strived to maintain the privacy and integrity of our family and will continue to do so."
No wedding date has been announced for Mel and Oksana.
The 39-year-old singer recently released a new album, "Beautiful Heartache."
The LP bowed on iTunes back in July 2009 by Icon Distribution, Gibson's company, which up until now has handled only soundtracks for his movies.
"He's an incredible artist," Grigorieva told CNN of Mel Gibson in an August 11 interview. "A visionary. He enabled me to produce this album, for my music to live."
CNN reported that the Oscar-winning ("Braveheart") filmmaker also directed four music videos for Grigorieva during a whirlwind week in Mexico. Video Watch Grigorieva talk about Gibson, love »
"They're like dramatic miniature films -- a whirlpool of different, exciting, bright images. That's quite rare," she said.
