Alexandra Burke is dating an American singer.

The 'Hallelujah' star - who shot to fame after winning UK TV talent show 'The X Factor' last year - met aspiring musician Cameron Quincy Jagher in Los Angeles three months ago but has been warned by her record label she must make completing her long-awaited debut album her priority.

A source said: "Alexandra has found her man. They are really keen on each other but are trying to take things slowly because they have to get their careers flying first."

Alexandra recently spent time showing the singer - known as Quincy - the sights of London, before he accompanied her on a trip to Sweden.

She wrote on her Twitter page: "With @quincyjagher Ma boy for lifeeeeee... Muah xxxxxxx You are HAPPY AND U KNOW IT!!! Welcome to LONDON Town !!!! (sic)"

Following her stint in Sweden, Alexandra is now preparing to return to Los Angeles to finish the LP and spend more time with her new love.

She revealed on her blog: "Things have been hectic, working very, very hard. But having so much fun at the same time. We have nearly chosen what the first single will be and I'm extremely happy with it.

"I fly to Los Angeles soon to shoot the video and do loads more finishing touches on everything."
