Michael Jackson's kids prayed for him

Michael Jackson's children formed a prayer circle as their father lay dying.

The late pop star's three children - Prince Michael I, 12, Paris, 11, and seven-year-old Prince Michael II, also known as 'Blanket' - joined hands and prayed with household staff as paramedics battled to save him.

The 'Black or White' singer's personal chef Kai Chase, 37, comforted the youngsters with their nanny and a housekeeper while medical staff and Michael's personal physician, Dr. Conrad Murray, tried to revive the unconscious star.

Celebrity chef Kai - full name Kai Chalon Chase - said: "When he didn't come downstairs that morning, I thought Mr. Jackson was sleeping late. I was preparing lunch. At about noon, Dr. Murray runs down the steps and screams, 'Go get Prince!' He's screaming very loud. I run into the den where the kids are playing and Prince runs to Dr. Murray.

"From that point on you could feel the energy in the house change. I walked into the hall and saw the children. The daughter was crying. Paramedics ran upstairs. We were all praying, 'Help Mr. Jackson be OK.' Then everyone went quiet."

The exact events leading up to Michael's death are not yet known, however, it is widely believed he had taken the powerful anaesthetic Propofol before his passing.

Dr. Conrad Murray - who is currently being investigated for manslaughter over the death of the pop legend on June 25 - had his Las Vegas home searched by police and Drug Enforcement Administration agents on Tuesday (28.07.09).

Kai had grown close to the youngsters after being quizzed by them for the job along with their father and had been hired to prepare healthy meals for the family while Michael was in London for his 50-night 'This Is It' residency at London's O2 arena.

She explained: "The first people I met were the kids. They interviewed me. They told me, 'We are into healthy eating.'

"Prince said, 'Daddy wants me to tell you he wants you to go to London with us.' I said, 'Tell your daddy that I'm pleased and honoured.' "

Meanwhile, Michael's father Joe Jackson has spoken about Omer Bhatti - the 25-year-old dancer rumoured to be the 'King of Pop's secret child - revealing he knew the pair were related.

Joe said: "I knew that he had another son. Yes, I did. He looks like a Jackson, he acts like a Jackson, he can dance like a Jackson."

The dancer sat with Michael's family and children in the front row of the memorial concert held at the Los Angeles Staples Center on July 7, fuelling speculation he is related to the pop icon.

Michael is believed to have told friends in 2004 he was Omer's biological father after having a one night stand with his mother Pia in 1984.
