Shelley Duvall's alien escape in Texas
By April MacIntyre Jul 25, 2009, 16:34 GMT

"She flashes her car lights at night to communicate with space aliens, believes a hole in her backyard is a portal to another dimension and lives in fear of aliens who are out to get her."
The 1994 Northridge earthquake sent actress Shelley Duvall back home to Texas, but reports are the thespian is communicating with space aliens via her car headlights.
Duvall had plum roles in Stanley Kubrick's "The Shining" and Woody Allen's "Annie Hall," but now, according to Texas townfolk who blabbed to the National Enquirer, Shelley is a recluse who thinks "aliens are living in her body."
The Enquirer sent down some reporters to Texas to investigate the strange news they were receiving about Duvall.
The 60 year-old actress lives in a home off a dirt road outside Blanco, Texas.
Blanco is a small Texas town of 1,500, where residents told the Enquirer Shelley appears to be an "odd woman who often appears out of touch with reality."
One Blanco resident told the Enquirer, "She desperately needs help."
The Enquirer writes:
"She flashes her car lights at night to communicate with space aliens, believes a hole in her backyard is a portal to another dimension and lives in fear of aliens who are out to get her."
The Enquirer had a conversation with Duvall, who just wants to return to acting.
"I would love to go back to acting if it was the right role," Shelley said.

I have seen and experienced the strange behavior of Ms. Duvall. I am sorry to say that it is a terrible waste of talent and of a life. She does need help and hopefully her family will see to it that she gets that help.
I, too, see her around town regularly. I even witnessed the odd behavior. Old-timers in town say they can tell when she's not taking meds as prescribed. She came into a restaurant in town while I was there, wearing a big ratty housecoat, dirty fuzzy blue slippers, and her hair in curlers. Someone recognized her and called her by name, she wigged out and took off like a spooked deer! But she was driving a nice Lexus SUV!! God bless her...
Gee - you mean the Enquirer got it right again!!
If you lived in Blanco, Texas you might feel a little crazy from time to time, too. When I lived there, Shelley would come into town, walk into a place of business like the Bowling Alley, and everyone would just stop and slack jaw stare at her. Aliens? No. Just the breakfast guys.
She is right. They are aliens living in her-this guy proves alien light beings on his youtube channel. www.youtube.com/humanswin
Strange story - believe 1/2 of what you see and none of what you hear.

I'm not so sure the Enquirer actually talked to Ms. Duval because I live just down the road from her and drive by her house every day. The only dirt road she drives down is her gravel driveway which is about 20 yards long. She may be somewhat of a recluse but I have seen none of the other things talked about in this article, so I question the Enquirer story.
