A fatal mishap has struck the Madonna Sticky and Sweet tour.
The Associated Press reports that in Marseille, France, at the venue where Madonna was to perform, a stage roof collapsed Thursday, leaving one worker dead and six injured.
The incident happened at the Stade Velodrome stadium, as the roof reportedly fell on top of several workers.
One worker was killed and two were injured in very serious condition, said Maurice Di Nocera, Marseille city councilor in charge of major events, reported on France-Info radio.
Madonna's "Sticky & Sweet" tour was set for Marseille on Sunday, but the concert was canceled because "rebuilding a stage, it's not possible," Di Nocera said.
