Amy Winehouse to divorce today

Amy Winehouse will be granted a 'quickie divorce' from Blake Fielder-Civil today (16.07.09).

The 'Rehab' singer and 27-year-old Blake are expected to be given a decree nisi - a preliminary stage of divorce which will then become absolute in six weeks - in the Family Division of London's High Court following the breakdown of their troubled two-year marriage.

Amy's spokesman said: "She is ready to move on following the end of the marriage. Amy has not had any contact with Blake for months and is focusing on the future. She is finishing her album and in good health."

Amy returned to the UK on Monday (13.07.09) after an extended stay in St. Lucia - where she was working on her new LP - and is now looking forward to the future.

The 25-year-old singer first met the former video production assistant in 2005 and after a turbulent on/off relationship - which inspired her worldwide hit album 'Back to Black' - the pair married two years later in Miami.

Their relationship was plagued by drink and drug fuelled bust-ups which often spilled into violence.

During their marriage, Blake was also sentenced to 27 months in prison for perverting the course of justice and grievous bodily harm.

Blake started divorce proceedings from inside jail in January after Amy was pictured with other men while on her Caribbean holiday.
