Former Jackson business associate Marc Schaffel said: "Debbie will attend. We just got confirmation from the people who are handling the VIP seats that they do have Debbie's seats and she will be attending."
It has been claimed Debbie is planning to seek custody of Prince Michael and Paris - Michael's mother was appointed their temporary guardian last week - but Schaffel refused to comment on the reports.
He told US TV show 'Good Morning America': "All I can say is the only one that could give an answer to that would be Debbie Rowe's lawyers, and they're the only ones that could make any kind of official statement on that or obviously make any statement regarding that."
Asked whether Debbie had been in contact with the Jackson family, Schaffel said: "There has been outreach, unfortunately, like so many cases, there's so much going on that they just have not been able to make contact. There were several tries, just for the fact of phone numbers that had changed, you know, answering machines that were full. Contact had not been able to happen prior."
Katherine - who was also made temporary guardian of Michael's youngest son, seven-year-old Prince Michael II following the death of the pop legend from a suspected cardiac arrest last month - was due to go back to court for a further hearing today (06.07.09), but it has been postponed until July 13 reportedly due to requests from Debbie and Katherine's lawyers.
In total, 8,750 fans have received a pair of tickets to the memorial service after a free draw took place.
The lottery happened yesterday (05.07.09), and tickets are already up for sale on internet auction site eBay. One listing has a price set at $20,000.
