Farrah Fawcett is in intensive care.
The 'Charlie's Angels' star - whose anal cancer has spread to her liver - was hospitalised earlier this week, but has since been moved to another unit as her condition has deteriorated.
Farrah's representative said: "She continues to be treated for her condition."
It has been reported the 62-year-old actress' condition is now so serious her friends and family are gathering at the St. John's Health Center in Santa Monica to say their last goodbyes.
Farrah's long-term partner Ryan O'Neal - who recently revealed he has proposed to Farrah and she has accepted - is believed to be by her side, along with her close friend, actress Alana Stewart.
In an interview to be aired in America on Friday (26.06.09), Ryan - who has a 24-year-old son, Redmond, with Farrah - talks about the couple's wedding plans.
He said: "I've asked her to marry me, again, and she's agreed.
"Farrah is fighting for her life. But we will wed as soon as she can, say yes. Maybe we can just nod her head.
"I promise you, we will. Absolutely."
Farrah, 62, was initially diagnosed with cancer in 2006. Although doctors believed it had been successfully treated, the illness returned in May 2007.
