The 'Vantage Point' actor and his spouse agreed the settlement of their lawsuit relating to the accidental overdose given to their newborn twins Thomas Boone and Zoe Grace in 2007.
Each child will receive $250,000, and the hospital has also agreed to pay for any medical care the children need which relates to the incident.
Documents filed at the Los Angeles Superior Court state the twins have "not recovered completely from the effects of the injuries. The overdose has subjected the babies to emotional and possible future injuries."
Just two weeks after the twins' birth via a surrogate mother, nurses at the Los Angeles' hospital administered 10,000 units of the anti-coagulant drug Heparin, which stops the blood from clotting, instead of the 10 units babies are allowed.
The drug had been kept in the wrong place, and was given to the children without the dosage being properly checked.
Thomas and Zoe spent weeks battling for their lives, and the hospital was fined $25,000 by the California Department of Public Health for their mistake.
