Megan Fox's friends are scared of her fame.

The 'Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen' star - who is often referred to as Hollywood's sexiest young actress - says her social life is suffering because of the hoards of photographers and fans who follow her every move.

She said: "They know that they'll see themselves in the tabloids if they're out with me!"

The 23-year-old actress - who was recently bombarded by 50 photographers while she was in a beauty spa - says she doesn't understand why the world is so interested in her life.

She explained: "You can be sexy and intelligent and normal. I'm the type of person who would rather curl up on the couch."

Megan recently reprised her role as Mikaela Banes for the second 'Transformers' movie, in which she stars alongside 22-year-old Hollywood star Shia LaBeouf.

The former model - who split from her on/off boyfriend 'Beverly Hills 90210 star Brian Austin Green earlier this year - recently revealed she shuns the Hollywood lifestyle because she is scared of ending up in rehab.

She said: "I'm kind of a recluse - a hermit. I'm not really out that much because I have a great fear of Hollywood.

"I think you have to be a really strong human being to survive it, especially if you're a woman.

"So I try to avoid the Hollywood scene and those who enjoy it because I don't want those people around. I haven't been to rehab yet so I think I'm doing something right."
