How odd that a so-called church is able to get away with repeated physical abuse. I suppose that's what a cult is, though, its members seemingly convinced that it's not a bad thing and that they must have deserved it. So brainwashed, it's a shame, sigh.
I mean, one look at pictures of that David Miscavige character and you know he's trouble.
I can't understand how the I.R.S. can support this crazy cult. Are they cowards, stupid or is this Department legally tied and bound by scientologists? Just thinking about children abused in this cult-and no official dept. seems to care-makes my blood boil! Open your eyes slavery and physical abuse is punishable BY LAW........
Slavery is not illegal if the slave not only agrees to it but loves it and considers it a great adventure and privilege. Some will stay to the very end, but if they want to play that game, let them play. However, these people need to be given the chance to read the truth. I love the article, this kind of information should be spread as widely as possible.
For more information people should check out http : // www . whoisdavidmiscavige . com
Not to defend scientology, but it's no worse than any other religion. In fact, every other religion is just as wackadoodle, and their histories are far, far more violent, corrupt, and deplorable, than the young scientology is today.
brahman, it's a shame you don't have any real idea what you are talking about in relation to the CoS.
neutral reporting go to wikipedia for all things scientology. copy and paste the en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scientology_controversies
There is a movement across the internet to protest this cult. Some of you may have heard of the so called 'anonymous' gathering at their churches and protesting.

There is alot in Scientology that can be found workable.
However scientology has always let itself down thru totalatarian concepts of control & thru dissent having always been part of its establishment.
One of its totalatarian concept of control is not unlike how dictatorships including communists lable people who disagree with them as confused, treacherous & an enemy.
Hubbard never gave much credit to other sources of reference when devising his religion having made himself a concept of a God.
This obviously his own game for his own ego.
Scientology has become a money-grubbing, human-rights violating cult, that is true and many people wonder how this can possibly be. Well, I know. I was an insider for more than 20 years and like Marty Rathbun, I know David Miscavige personally. I witnessed his physical violence and shocking abuse. Scientology today is like Nazi Germany of the late 1930s. The German people were decent and Germany was decent. But add one insane sociopathic dictator with complete totalitarian control at the top with unrestricted access to millions of dollars and the result is disaster. Miscavige has subverted Scientology so thoroughly it is almost unrecognizable from what it was intended to be. Casualties of Miscavige's regime are coming forward now and speaking out to expose this madman for who and what he really is. We're receiving a lot of help from investigative journalists like Joe Childs and Tom Tobin at the St Pete Times, through authors and publishers and hundreds of websites like m&c. We are also reaching out directly through websites like www.scientology-cult.com where we have posted articles. Everyone's help is much appreciated. Like performing an autopsy on a rotten corpse, when you start peeling back the layers of David Miscavige the stench alone is overpowering.
I wish all those who are out to destroy this insidious and evil cult the best of luck. My step son underwent a traumatic few weeks after coming into contact with misguided followers. It's the nearest I have ever seen him close to depression. May all good people help you in your task.
You guys make me laugh. Like sheep following the wolf into the lions den. If any of the above was true then, why is it always the same people that are making then exact same accusations they have always been making? And what about the evidence that one of the accusers was in fact the one beating people and that is why David Miscaviage had him kicked out? I guess some people just can't stand to see others do well in life. Sucks for you
Hitler was not 'brilliant.' He had a mediocre intellect but he was conniving and ruthless, and had a certain kind of political genius. Good at military strategy at first, in the end it was his big downfall. Not good at planning for the long term. Head too much in the clouds. Hitler's biggest asset was his oratorical gift.
Miscavige is not especially smart either. He dropped out of high school, where he wasn't doing well, but he's mean and clever enough. He knows how to manipulate people, especially the brainwashed minions who follow him.
Since religion was a youth
there has been a lust for truth.
Search for truth, for it remains
though not within a church ordained.
There are we and there is God
and in between there is naught.
As below, so above.
He needs no gold, only love.
