Michael Sheen is set to play a James Bond villain.
The 'Damned United' actor is reportedly being lined up to star as Ernst Stavro Blofeld in the forthcoming 23rd movie about the iconic British spy.
Blofeld has appeared in six movies in the hit franchise, and has previously been portrayed by actors including Donald Pleasence, Telly Savalas and Charles Gray.
The character has not appeared since 1983's 'Never Say Never Again' so film chiefs think it is time the terrorist mastermind is brought back.
A source said: "Michael is hot property right now and it's felt he's the man to being Blofeld back to life.
"Michael was a Bond fan in his youth so this would be a dream role for him."
Landing the role would see Michael reunited with his 'Frost/Nixon' writer and friend Peter Morgan, who is to pen the next James Bond film.
Daniel Craig is set to reprise his role as the lead character in the next movie, which is scheduled for release in 2011.
