Jocelyn Brown is set to launch a £10 million lawsuit over her famous 'I've Got The Power' vocal.
The 58-year-old soul singer - whose voice appeared on the 1990 hit 'The Power' by German group Snap - is set to sue for 50 per cent of the song's global earnings because she claims her voice was "stolen" for the track.
The song has been used in over 500 adverts and films since its release and the US-born star insists she did not give permission for them to use recordings of her voice and consequentially has never been paid any royalties.
She said: "They started saying they had re-recorded the vocal with another singer - which was insulting, don't you think I know my own voice?
"I used to feel depressed they had stolen my voice. Now I've decided to fight."
Jocelyn and music firm Warner Brothers will now embark on a legal battle against the German music company who licensed the track to 'Rhythm Is a Dancer' hitmakers Snap.
The band - consisting of Michael Munzing, Luca Anzilotti and Loc - has always maintained Jocelyn's voice was not used on the song.
Jocelyn's plans to relaunch her career are currently underway and new single 'Love Alibi' is due for release in the near future.

So 19 years since its release and NOW she decides to sue. Not that it has anything to do with publicity around her comeback. Tsk...
