EPA/JEFF KOWALSKYMoore blogged that he was "filled with joy" over what he sees as the demise of General Motors and relishes the Government intervention.In his editorial titled, "Goodbye GM," Moore writes, "The only way to save GM is to kill GM," published in the Huffington Post Monday, June_1 ."It's ironic that the company that invented "planned obsolescence" -- the notion of deliberately making cars that will fall apart faster so people have to buy new ones -- would become obsolescent itself," writes Moore. Moore points out that GM and Roger Moore, the subject of his documentary, refused to make good quality cars and trucks that Americans wanted, as the corporation fought environmental and safety regulations, and ignored the tidal wave of cheaper better imports from Germany and Japan.But it was the outsourcing of auto jobs to Mexico when profits were high that began the unraveling of many middle-class families, according to Moore.The oil industry, according to Moore in his HuffPo missive, is complicit as well:"They are committed to fleecing us whenever they can, and they have been reckless stewards of the finite amount of oil that is located under the surface of the earth. They know they are sucking it bone dry. And like the lumber tycoons of the early 20th century who didn't give a damn about future generations as they tore down every forest they could get their hands on, these oil barons are not telling the public what they know to be true -- that there are only a few more decades of useable oil on this planet. And as the end days of oil approach us, get ready for some very desperate people willing to kill and be killed just to get their hands on a gallon can of gasoline."

The copy now reads: 'We are coming out of a Recession' when in fact we are only beginning to go into one. In the new economic model people are expendable. That seems to be lost on most citizens.
