Katie Price and Peter Andre will divorce within the next six weeks.
The former glamour model - who was devastated when the 'Mysterious Girl' singer ended their three-and-a-half year marriage earlier this month - is said to have reluctantly accepted the relationship is over and has visited her lawyer to discuss a 'quickie' split.
A source told Britain's News of the World newspaper: "This has been a landmark couple of days for Katie. It's sad, but she's given up the fight.
"She now accepts she's never getting Peter back and is ready to move on with her life. It hasn't been easy but she knows it's necessary to enable her to eventually get on with things."
Katie - who raises three children, Harvey, seven, Junior, three, and 23-month-old Princess Tiaamii, with Peter - will reportedly agree to Peter's divorce petition, which will cite her "unreasonable behaviour", as it speeds up proceedings.
Top divorce lawyer Jane McDonagh, who doesn't represent Katie or Peter, said: "It could be done in as soon as a month but more likely six weeks.
"In cases like this the judge will usually agree that it can be over and done with so they can avoid too much public attention."
Last week, the 31-year-old British beauty spoke of her desire to rekindle her romance with Peter.
Katie - also known as Jordan - said: "If only I could turn back the clock. I've made the biggest mistake of my life and it's all my own fault.
"If I'd have known I was driving Pete away so badly I would have pulled myself back. I don't want a divorce, I just want us back as a family again."
