Cheryl Cole has been named the "ultimate fantasy cheerleader".

The Girls Aloud star - who topped the poll conducted by fixtures website Sportingfix.com - is the woman men would most like to see shaking their pom poms while wearing a mini-skirt.

The 25-year-old singer beat a host of famous beauties, including her bandmates Sarah Harding and Nadine Coyle, to take the sexy title.

British TV presenter-and-actress Kelly Brook came second, while singer Kylie Minogue finished third.

Blonde British star Holly Willoughby, who recently gave birth, and actress Keira Knightley rounded off the top five of the poll, which was undertaken by 3,000 men.

Nick McBoyle, from Sporting Fix, said: "There are some gorgeous girls in the list but for me it's got to be Cheryl Cole. It would be great if we could actually get the girls together to shake their pom poms but for now it will have to remain man's ultimate fantasy."

Other stars who made the list include Scarlett Johansson, Katie Price and Sienna Miller.

Earlier this year, Cheryl was named the world's sexiest woman in FHM magazine's annual poll.
