Miss USA quitter Shanna Moakler full of baloney

02/28/2009 - Shanna Moakler - Former nude Playboy layout model and warring ex wife of Travis Barker, Shanna Moakler, resigned as co-executive director of the Miss California USA pageant Wednesday after her boss Donald Trump allowed Miss California Carrie Prejean to keep her crown. © Tony Lowe / PR PhotosThe resignation was tendered by Moakler, apparently disgusted with Trump's decision to cut Prejean a pass and stay as Miss California, despite some relatively tame semi-nude photos from Prejean's teens.At a news conference Monday, Moakler accused Prejean of violating her contract.On Tuesday, Trump defended Prejean's right to make a statement that marriage should be exclusive to men and women, saying her position was the same as President Barack Obama's. Trump carefully reviewed Prejean's pictures and deemed them "risque," but nothing like Miss Nevada Katie Rees, who Trump alluded to as really dirty pictures he also carefully reviewed last year.Moakler, Miss USA 1995, had this to say. "I cannot with a clear conscience move forward supporting and promoting the Miss Universe Organization when I no longer believe in it or the contracts I signed committing myself as a youth," she said in a statement issued by her publicist. Moakler also mentioned that although she wants to be a role model for Miss USA hopefuls, she feels it is now more important to be a role model for her children. Prejean got caught in a media snare laid by blogger Perez Hilton by answering his gay marriage yes or no question with, "I believe that a marriage should be between a man and a woman. No offense to anybody but that's how I was raised."
