Miss California: 'I am a model, I am a Christian,' defends free speech, keeps title

There you have it folks, the gay supporting American media had it's chance to damage THE MAJORITY IN AMERICAN THINKING and lost! Simple! Yes, Yes, yes, let the gays/lesbians have civil unions (as they so desperately claim make up their constitutional rights in America, yada yada, yada, blah, blah, boogidy blah....)OK, alright already, let the unions fester here there and everywhere...but one fact cannot change no matter what the media claims ---IT WILL ALWAYS TAKE A MAN AND A WOMAN TO BRING FORWARD CIVILIZATION AS WE KNOW IT AND THAT IS THRU PROCREATION NATURAL AND SIMPLE...No amount of gay/lesbian unions will ever change that fact. Thank you Ms. California for your standup guts and beauty (not just skin deep either) and for your simple and direct statements that prove popular thought ain't always close to the truth!

'Do you remember what you did when you were 16?' At an age of 53, I clearly remember what I did when I was 16, how could she not remember back 4 years? Poor excuse but that is fine.

Frankly it is not politically correct to support Equal Rights, it is just the right thing to do. Miss California is free to hold any belief she wants, and voice it for that matter. What is objectionable is that she is supposed to represent the Whole of California, not just the Evangelical Christian portion.

Sadly the board for Miss California has apparently bowed to Evangelical pressure in doing what they did.

Hey reverend, who says that the high energy, media-propped, reactionary and urban oriented recent California initiative is the tru voice of ALL OF CALIFORNIA??? I dog-dare u to put the gay marriage question to ALL Californians. U know...a Plebiscite...remember that from high school history? Miss California does not need to be a 'political spokesperson' for citizens of California as a beauty pageant member. That's plain bull--it. If she was 'elected to' a public office I MIGHT go along with you but not in this case. Arnold Schwarzzeneger MUST respresent all Californians, not Miss California in a freakin beauty pageant.

Don't think for a minute this gal isn't salivating over all the attention she is getting. She is trying to act so miss goody two shoes and excusing her photos as part of being a model and just showing what a hypocrite she is. The Donald should have let her go, and also do away with these stupid beauty contests with all the fake boobs, lips and spouting all about the wonderful things they want to do to improve mankind, when they are talking out of both sides of their mouths.

The problem is not the pictures - but the way that Prejean's people are dealing with it, and her dishonesty about the pictures, and when they were taken. She's in violation of rules concerning speaking out and appearances. Trump is making the best of it; hoping that the story goes away. Every year this contest gives him a headache of some kind.

'We've reviewed the pictures carefully,' Trump said at a packed news conference at Trump Plaza in Manhattan. 'We've made a determination that the pictures taken were acceptable. Some were risque, but we are in the 21st century.'

As for any miscommunication between Carrie and the Miss California pageant officials, Trump said the problem had been “totally solved.”

Despite the magnanimity shown to Miss California Carrie Prejean, Katie Rees—Miss Nevada 2007—was out of luck when racy pics of her showed up after she won her title.

And she's none too happy about what she perceives to be a 'huge double standard.'

'Semi-nude photos are semi-nude photos,' she told E! News, comparing the topless lingerie pics of Prejean with her own shots, which featured a 17-year-old Rees baring a breast, flashing her thong, and doing her best Katy Perry impression. Miss Universe Organization honcho Donald Trump deemed the photos inappropriate and stripped Rees of her Miss Nevada USA title in December 2006.

And this isn't the first time since that Rees has spoken out in opposition to the less harsh treatment doled out to some of her pageant peers. She called it 'unfair' when Miss USA 2006 Tara Conner was allowed to keep her title after the then-underage beauty queen was spotted drinking in various NYC bars and, at one point, kissing one of her gal-pals.

Rees said today that she and Prejean both signed contracts swearing that there were no nude or semi-nude photographs of them in existence.
