Famous moms Heidi Klum, Brooke Shields, Keisha Whitaker and Joely Fisher reveal their tricks and tips as they juggle work, romance and motherhood.
Joely Fisher quips, “Do everything in a bikini and really high heels.”
On “Extra’s” Weekend Edition Mother’s Day special, the show has assembled a superstar lineup of celebrity moms to sit down for a candid, confessional chat about motherhood, marriage, career, and ways to balance them all.
Celebrity moms Heidi Klum, Brooke Shields, Keisha Whitaker and Joely Fisher are answering questions from real mothers, weighing in on their “interesting” mommyhood confessions, and getting real about their own struggles as working moms.
Supermodel, TV host, and wife to singer Seal, Heidi Klum shares her secret to managing it all. “You have to always keep a smile on your face for sure. Go to bed very early...Having 3 children with a fourth on the way, I'm always tired and the day is so packed with so many things...I always want to do it all."
Kids in. Romance out. This seems to be the case for many couples, so our celebri-moms discuss ways they keep their sex lives hot at home. Joely Fisher, daughter of actress Connie Stevens and mother of five, jokes, “Do everything in a bikini and really high heels.”
Klum’s got a secret weapon and his name is Seal. “I just look at my husband and that’s it.”
“Extra” wants to know if any of their panel shares their bed with the kids.
Fisher’s got the same answer as a lot of moms out there. “I would keep them next to me as long as I can because there’s going to come a time they’re not going to want to be around me.” Fisher jokes with Klum saying, “She sleeps with Seal, so she’s like ‘Get out!’”
Proving you can have the best of both worlds, Brooke Shields is a best-selling author, successful actress and mother of two. When an “Extra” fan asks, “Why do people make you feel guilty if you don’t want to have kids?” Shields has this take, “Having kids is not for everyone and no one should feel guilty about it if they decide it’s not for them.”
Keisha Whitaker has been married to Oscar winner Forest for 13 years and reveals her favorite part about being pregnant. “I was able to get the peaceful sleep.”
Extra will also wheel out some odd Mommy Confessionals, as "real moms" tell “Extra” their most embarrassing, “I-can’t-believe-I-did-that” moments. One mother admits to feeding her kid McDonald’s for 3 consecutive days and get this - she’s a nutritionist. Then one mom reveals she actually peed in her kid’s pull-up while driving to church.
“Extra” Weekend Edition Mother’s Day special airs Saturday, May 9th and Sunday, May 10th.
