The former model - who was married to the rocker for 23 years when he left her for a 20-year-old Russian waitress last summer - is glad it's no longer her concern whether the 61-year-old Rolling Stones star relapses and is embracing her single life.
She said: "I miss him but now I have more time for me. And I don't have to worry that I'm going to get home and he'll be drunk."
Ronnie ran away with Ekaterina Ivanova to Ireland for an alcohol-fuelled trip last July.
He was expected to return to Jo after completing a stint in rehab in September. Instead he continued to romance Ekaterina after being treated for drugs, alcohol and sex addiction.
Although she was left devastated by the split, 53-year-old Jo is making a fresh start and recently visited poverty-stricken women in Bangladesh, which helped put her personal struggles into prospective.
She added to Britain's Marie Claire magazine: "Now I can get out there and see things, and hopefully do something good to change these women's lives. I would never have got to Bangladesh with Ronnie. When you hear what these women have been through, it makes my problems seem ridiculous."
