Lily Allen has landed a contract with Chanel.
The 'Fear' singer - who has previously designed her own clothing line for UK high street chain New Look - is said to be amazed after the creative director of the prestigious fashion house Karl Lagerfeld, asked her to front an advertising campaign for the designer label's Autumn/Winter 2009 handbag collection.
A source said: "Lily cannot believe her luck but she is nervous.
"Her last fashion endorsement with New Look went well but she felt under a lot of pressure competing with Kate Moss' Topshop range. Now it's even worse because this is a world-class designer label and Lily doesn't want to let anyone down.

Lily, 24 - follows in the footsteps of model Jerry Hall and actresses Nicole Kidman and Keira Knightley in fronting a campaign for the fashion house - will take part in her first fashion shoot for the label next week, which Lagerfeld will fly to London to oversee.
This will not be the first time the singer and flamboyant designer have met.
The 'Smile' star is regularly seen sitting on the front row when Chanel showcase their new collections and was guest of honour at a dinner thrown by Lagerfeld during Paris fashion week in March.
