Alexa Chung is finding moving to America "traumatic".
The 'Frock Me' presenter is currently house hunting in preparation for living in New York this summer and admits she is already feeling the strain of life in an unfamiliar city.
She said: "Attempting to relocate has been fairly traumatic, the seven days I set aside to find an apartment have served to remove some of the rose tint from my dreamy notion of living in the Big Apple.
"I've had countless arguments with cab drivers, a man in a cake shop got expertly angry with me for inadvertently skipping a queue I didn't know existed and on more than one occasion I've found myself teary-eyed and lost amid the maze that is the rat-riddled subway system."
Although she has suffered a tough time house hunting, the model-turned-presenter - who is dating Arctic Monkeys rocker Alex Turner - is still looking forward to her move.
She added: "Despite all of this, I am still - I think - excited at the prospect of living here."
