Actor David Caruso is facing domestic abuse charges and a lawsuit from his ex-girlfriend.

The "C.S.I. Miami" star was hit with a lawsuit filed today by Liza Marquez; the documents filed in the multi-count suit against the actor include Breach of Contract/Settlement Agreement, Fraud, and Intentional Infliction of Emotional Distress (Domestic Abuse).
Extra got hold of the court papers, which state Caruso broke up with Marquez by serving her “with a paternity action as she was arriving from the hospital to her house after giving birth to their second and last child.”
Marquez claims Caruso “engaged in an ongoing strategy of intimidation, isolation, and control over [Marquez] – with the goal of asserting and maintaining power and control…” In one instance, Marquez claims Caruso proceeded “to berate and emotionally abuse her causing [her] to retreat to the bathroom and vomit.”
Additional claims made by Marquez in lawsuit:
Caruso became jealous when she spoke to her cousin on the phone and even “accused her of being unfaithful to him” with her own family member.
Caruso had multiple emotional outbursts that would last hours. Many would be followed by him apologizing and giving Marquez a gift, one of which was “a note on Cartier stationary that read, ‘Truly, Madly, Deeply, FOREVER’ to prove his commitment to her.”
Caruso would “among other things seclude himself and watch Seinfeld television reruns, isolating [Marquez] from him."
In 2005, Caruso “frequently had abusive emotional outbursts because [their] newborn baby cried, but “would then do a 180 degree turn and publicly express his love for [Marquez.].”
Marquez is seeking $1 million and an additional $200,000 towards attorneys fees.
