Katy Perry was the victim of an elaborate April Fools' Day prank yesterday (01.04.09).

The 'Thinking Of You' singer was furious when her 20-year-old brother told her he had impregnated a "white trash" stranger.

Writing on her blog, the star said: "Anyways... this morning as I was shopping around Boston i get a text from my 20 year old tulsa oklahoma living brother saying, 'I messed up you should talk to sister'

"Oh no what does THAT mean. Then after talking to sister come to find out he says he prego-ed some white trash girl's ego and that she was keeping it and i was gonna be auntie katy. (sic)"

The 24-year-old singer immediately phoned her brother to berate him.

She said: "I tried to talk to him and tell him that life may not be so easy playing daddy to an 18 year old girl whom you barely know that comes from a 'situation' at home as well.

"I also gave him a sturdy thrashing about how he's not gonna ruin the hudson-perry kin. When we siblings decide to grow little ones it won't be on accident with a stranger... ew. (sic)"

As Katy's emotions began to get the better of her, her cheeky sibling revealed his trick.

She wrote: "So here i was sitting in my hotel room wondering how am i gonna talk to this girl that wants to play mommy for a couple months and how to register online for the maternity section of WHERE THE HELL EVER.

"Then bam. Right as you know it... brother beats me to it. april fools. "

Katy was relieved, but even angrier than before.

She said: "You little suck a*s i will get you. That is the OLDEST one in the book and I used that on you LAST YEAR. and p.s. WHY also does every girl go for that 'I'm preggos' april fools joke. BE CREATIVE. Jeeze. (sic)"
