Britney Spears has been left furious after two of her roadies were arrested for reportedly fighting with police.
Rockey Lee Dickey Jr. and Alex Montes were apprehended by officers on Wednesday (25.03.09) after they allegedly attacked two policeman who tried to stop Dickey fighting with another man in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Officers used an electric taser gun to control Dickey and then gave chase to Montes.
A police statement said: "Both men had very strong odors of alcohol, slurred speech and bloodshot eyes. They will be charged with aggravated assault, disorderly conduct, simple assault, public drunkenness and possible additional charges."
The men have been freed on $100,000 bail.
Britney immediately condemned the pair's behaviour in a post on her website, saying: "Last night two employees of a company contracted to provide equipment for 'The Circus Starring Britney Spears' tour were arrested in Pittsburgh, PA. However, neither of the men involved are employees of the tour or Ms. Spears. The two individuals have since been dismissed by their employer. 'The Circus Starring Britney Spears' tour does not support or tolerate this type of behaviour."
Britney, 27, is due to play at Pittsburgh's Mellon Arena tonight (27.03.09).
This is not the first controversy to hit Britney's tour, which kicked off earlier this month.
Her father Jamie was forced to fire two dancers who had reportedly taken drugs.
