Nobody is laughing Robert. Seriously, you are not French, you\'re British. Take a shower and use some deodorant. British actor Robert Pattinson smiles as his cast members flee. EPA/FRANCK ROBICHON
Robert Pattinson stinks.
The British actor reportedly never showers and his body odour is infuriating cast and crew on the set of 'The Twilight Saga: New Moon'.
A source close to the star - who returns as vampire Edward Cullen in the film - said: "He stinks. I mean, it's awful. He never showers, and it drives people on the set crazy. He completely reeks."
Robert's lack of personal hygiene could be one of the reasons behind his unsuccessful sex life in the US.
The 22-year-old hunk reportedly recently told a British friend: "I can't get laid in New York."
To which his friend replied: "Even a blind person with a British accent could get tail in New York."
Despite his protestations, Paris Hilton has admitted to having a crush on Robert and rocker Courtney Love has said she wants to set him up with her daughter, Frances Bean.
Other A-list actors including Brad Pitt, Zac Efron and Keanu Reeves have also previously been accused of dodging showers while on the sets of their films.

You can cut the wisecracks about the French, please. My in-laws are French and fanatical about hygiene.
It's a leftover stereotype from years and years ago. Even in the United States, up till about 60 years ago, it was considered unhealthy for the skin to wash away those protective oils and such on a daily basis. Daily hair-washing wasn't the norm till the 1970's, when blow-dryers and curling irons made the job much easier (women went natural or ran around in curlers before that). Also consider that hot and cold running water didn't exist in many American homes until after World War II, so bathing was a real chore; total immersion only happened once a week and sponge baths were the order for the rest of the days. My parents grew up like that.
I hope Rob isn't so inconsiderate of his castmates and the crewmembers that he goes commando for days and days. Rachelle Lefevre (the actress who plays Victoria) did say that Rob would often wear the same clothes for days on end, so for Americans accustomed to smelling nothing that smells like human, it's probably a bit of a shock.
I teach public school, and some of the kids smell pretty ripe after P. E. class. I don't blame them--the showers aren't disinfected on a daily basis, and nobody wants to use them because they don't know who might have peed in them the previous class period.
That twenty online articles are dedicated to this topic is kind of a sad commentary, innit?
Hear, hear! It seems people are losing their sense(s) of humor and the media doesn't help. They can't discern a 'joke' from reality....makes me want to scream! I hope Rob doesn't try to change his personality because of the media and/or fans who take every whisper/word as gospel. Aaargh
My teenage boy would wear his jeans until they stood up by themselves. It was a phase. When it passed he'd drive me crazy by changing several times a day for no obviouss reason. Finally, he got it balanced and I didn't go insane afterall....sort of, maybe a wee bit :-)
Stay true to yourself, Rob!
