Once a hot actress, now a wanted woman, Lohan is sought by authorities for a 2007 DUI infraction.
The Los Angeles Times and local news affiliates report that the Beverly Hills Superior Court issued an arrest warrant for the actress Friday over her 2007 DUI and hit-and-run case.
Lohan is serving a three-year probation term for her second DUI conviction.
Lohan pleaded guilty or no contest to DUI and cocaine charges after she rammed her Mercedes into a tree in Beverly Hills in 2007. That same night she tailed the mother of a friend into Santa Monica in an SUV.
"A warrant was in fact issued Friday for the arrest of Lindsay Lohan," a police statement read. "The circumstances leading to the issuance by the court are not readily available at this time. It is our hope that Ms. Lohan will surrender herself so this matter can be resolved in at timely manner."
People.com claim Lohan was seen out in Los Angeles on Friday night, at the Chateau Marmont.
Lohan recently had settled a lawsuit with a 22-year-old college student, Masha Markova, who accused Lohan of stealing her $11,000 fur coat while exiting a New York club last January.
"It was settled about a week ago, and we filed the stipulation this week," Markova's attorney, Merrill Cohen, told E! News.
"I cannot tell you any terms, because they are confidential...but I can tell you we are happy with the settlement and we believe Lohan is also—otherwise she wouldn't have agreed to the settlement."
The coat disappeared from the 1Oak nightcub in January 2008, while Lohan and Markova were both attending a private party there. Weeks later, paparazzi photos showed Lohan wearing the MIA mink, and the legal actions commenced..
The mink was returned to Markova in February, after Cohen notified Lohan's lawyer, Blair Berk.
If Lohan turns herself in voluntarily for the current warrant, she will avoid being cuffed and removed forcibly by police. Lohan reportedly can turn herself in to any police station in the county of Los Angeles.
UPDATE: Lindsay Lohan's warrant for her arrest was "born out of misunderstanding," says her attorney
Regarding Lindsay Lohan's warrant for her arrest, her attorney, Shawn Chapman Holley, tells "Extra," "Since her case was resolved, Ms. Lohan has been in compliance with all the terms and conditions of her probation and all orders of the Court. The warrant issued on Friday was, in our view, born out of a misunderstanding which I am confident I can clear up next week."
