Razorlight's former drummer says being in the band was "hell".
Andy Burrows - who quit the group last week amid rumours of animosity between him and singer Johnny Borrell - has revealed working with egotistical Johnny was a living nightmare.
Andy - who co-wrote the group's biggest hit 'America' - said: "It was hell. I'm glad I'm finally out of it.
"I hated being in the band. Johnny and I didn't get on. Now I've got my freedom. He never wanted people to know we both wrote songs and I couldn't be in control. I'm happy again now."
Despite his angry words, Andy insists he had some good times with the quartet, but is now ready to embark on new projects.
The musician - who last year released a solo album, 'The Colour of my Dreams' - added to Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper: "Don't get me wrong - I have some fond memories. We achieved some great things together and had amazing experiences. At least now I'm happy.
"I'm drumming for We Are Scientists, working on my own material and doing stuff for other bands."
Things reportedly came to a head between Andy and Johnny during a recent promotional trip to America, leading the drummer to quit.
The pair have always had a volatile relationship and even had a brawl in a London bar following the Vodafone Live Music Awards in 2006.
