Rich people problems: Chris Brown's lawyer meets judge

Chris Brown's lawyer has arranged a private meeting with the judge in his upcoming case.

Mark Geragos - who is representing the 19-year-old singer who has been charged with felony assault and making criminal threats in relation to his alleged assault of Rihanna - has asked to meet Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Patricia Schnegg on March 23, two weeks before Chris' arraignment on April 6.

During the meeting the pair will apparently discuss Rihanna's possible testimony, although it is not known if Mark will be attempting to block her from giving evidence.

Chris will not be present at the appointment, which will reportedly be held in the judge's private chambers, although prosecutors will be there.

The pop star is accused of punching, biting and chocking Rihanna until she was unconscious in his rented silver Lamborghini. If convicted, he could face up to four years in prison.

Meanwhile, Chris' mother and co-manager Joyce Hawkins has denied reports he is looking to change his management team.

The 'With You' singer is reportedly unhappy with the way his team have handled his ongoing legal situation. They did not issue a statement until a week after the incident took place, and Chris is said to be "upset" he wasn't allowed to speak out about the events sooner.

Joyce said: "Reports that Chris is looking to replace his team, including lawyer Mark Geragos, manager Tina Davis and publicist Mike Sitrick, are false. There are only two people who could make a change at that level on Chris' behalf - his business attorney Kenny Meiselas and me - and neither of us were the source of this information.

"Let me state unequivocally, that no change is planned or being made with respect to Mark Geragos, Tina Davis or Mike Sitrick. We are very pleased with the work they are doing."
