Cynthia Nixon never wants 'Sex and the City' to take to the stage - because she would be too excited.

The 42-year-old actress - who plays lawyer Miranda in the hit US TV series and movie - would struggle to keep a lid on her emotions if the show was ever adapted into a theatre play and she got to tread the boards with her co-stars.
She said: "That would be way too distracting! It would be really hard for people to even see just two of us together on a stage!"
Despite her reluctance to see a theatre production of 'Sex and the City', Cynthia - who stars in the programme alongside Sarah Jessica Parker, Kristin Davis and Kim Cattrall - thinks one of her co-stars would be excellent in an adaptation.
She said: "Kristin has done less stage than the three of us, but I think she's a really wonderful actress. In her youth she did theatre, so I think she would be excellent onstage."
