Brad Pitt and George Clooney have Carte Blanche at the White House.
The actors easily breeze into the Obama White House to hold court with the new president to discuss their pet charities and causes.
Pitt's cause? Affordable housing for still-suffering Katrina victims of New Orleans.
George Clooney, according to NBC’s “Today” show last Friday, will be meeting with the President next week to discuss the crisis in Darfur, long a Clooney cause.
Brad Pitt was ushered into Obama's offices after meeting with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid about his Make It Right charity.
The AP reported that Pitt and President Barack Obama "pulled off an improbably secret meeting, White House spokesman Thomas F. Vietor confirmed. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi was not immune to his charms. Praising Pitt for his work to rebuild New Orleans’ hurricane-ravaged 9th Ward, she even allowed that meeting him affords her 'bragging rights to my children and my grandchildren — a real treat for me as well.' "
