The Coldplay frontman has to keep an eye on former accountant Anthony - who was the last person to leave the singer's birthday party earlier this week - while he accompanies the band on a tour of Australia because of his wild behaviour.
Chris - who left his party before midnight - said: "My dad is more of a rock star than me. He embraces the lifestyle.
"People think having your dad on tour would cramp your style. But I don't have any style - he's got all the right moves.
"He's living the dream. I'm going to check he hasn't trashed the hotel room before we leave each city."
Meanwhile, the 'Viva La Vida' singer has been left disappointed after his workload left him unable to fulfil a dream of making a cameo appearance on Australian TV soap 'Neighbours'.
A source said: "He's a mad 'Neighbours' fan but unfortunately, going on the show didn't work with his schedule this time."
Earlier this week, Chris spoke of his regret at giving a song to former 'Neighbours' actress Natalie Imbruglia.
He said: "A bit annoyingly we've given her the best Coldplay song of all time. But because we're off-cycle we can't do it ourselves.
"Half of me wishes we still had it. But she sounds f***ing brilliant on it. I think she has a very unique talent and an incredibly unique voice."
The single - which is due to be called 'Scars' - is likely to be Natalie's first song from her forthcoming as-yet untitled LP, due for release in May.
