Matilda Ledger will be the recipient of her late dad's Oscar, given this past Sunday for his tour-de-force performance in "The Dark Knight" as arch-villain The Joker.
Ledger's 3-year-old daughter Matilda won't be living the Hollywood life.
Matilda's mother Michelle Williams, 28, based in New York, told the Daily Telegraph that she won't relocate to Los Angeles, "for all the obvious reasons ... being an actor's daughter...It's a town that's about one thing, and I want her to have options."
Williams fell in love with Matilda's dad Heath on the set of "Brokeback Mountain."
For the most part she has laid low since her former partner's death from an accidental prescription drugs overdose in New York in 2008.
Williams revealed to the UK paper, "I felt burned out, I still feel that, but I'm coming back to my wits, little by little. But ultimately I am not yet ready to work. I've actually really been enjoying not working."
"I'll be happy making movies for $300,000 for the rest of my life," she says, "if the roles are interesting."
