The 19-year-old 'Slumdog Millionaire' star asked someone to shock him to prove he really was at the glitzy British ceremony last week, and was quickly brought back down to earth by the actress.
Dev said: "I was on the red carpet with Sharon Stone and I said can someone please slap me - and Sharon Stone slapped me!"
Dev also revealed he is amazed at how successful 'Slumdog Millionaire' has been, because it was never intended for a cinematic release.
He added during an interview on UK TV show 'Friday Night with Jonathan Ross': "It's surreal, a roller-coaster. At one point the film was going straight to DVD, there was no hope. Then through word of mouth it became 'Slumdog Millionaire' - the generic underdog story."
It was revealed earlier this week that Sharon had a crush on Dev - and used him sitting next to her at the ceremony to her advantage.
A source said: "Dev is young enough to be her son- even her grandson, but that didn't seem to stop Sharon flirting with him."
