Kate Moss wants to become an actress.

The British supermodel - who turned 35 last month - is keen to combine her current career with being a "Hollywood star", and her lover, The Kills rocker Jamie Hince, has already introduced her to a New York agent to help her.

A source said: "Kate has always had dreams of acting. She's nervous but feels with the right backing, she can make the transition from supermodel to Hollywood star."

'Leaving Las Vegas' director Michael Figgis is set to help Kate make the movie. He worked with her on an internet film for luxury lingerie company Agent Provocateur in 2006, and was impressed with her ability.

The source added to Britain's News of the World newspaper: "Figgis and Kate have been discussing possible projects and he is helping her work with the right people.

"Kate will combine her two careers. She won't give up modelling."

It was recently reported Kate is moving to the US with Jamie because he wants to try to make it big in America.

A source said at the time: "Jamie thinks it would help the relationship. Plus he fancies the challenge of cracking the US with The Kills. He and bandmate Alison Mosshart are looking into doing a massive tour this year so the timing would be perfect. And Kate already has modelling shoots pencilled in there. It makes perfect sense."
