Good lord - what ethical doctor would impregnate this woman?
The author of this *sham* of an article is a goshdanged Moron.
1) the woman didn't take 'fertility drugs'. She had IVF.
2) Again, she had IVF. If she's having OH SO MUCH trouble paying bills, tell me, PLEASE, where she got the 10k+ for a round of IVF. Obviously, they're not strugging as badly as some people would have you believe.
3) She's not single!! Her husband works for a contractor and is going back to Iraq. Yes, CBS screwed it up and said her father, but no. Its her HUSBAND.
4) The Goslins (Jon and Kate +8) have a TV show about their high order multiple children, and everyone attacks them for being attention whores. This family is trying their hardest to stay OUT of the media, and stupid gossip mongers won't leave them the heck alone.
5) Is this mother asking YOU for money? No. Is she on welfare? Again, NO. So why the heck is it any of YOUR business a) how many children she has and b) how many she has at one time.
6) Grow the heck up and write a truthful article. This is just complete and utter bull that is only serving to fan the flames of lies already ebing hurled at this family.
Shut up you ''goshdanged Moron''.
And how do you happen to be in on the inside track to this situation, Elizabeth, and all the news reports aren't??
this 'miracle birth' of octuplets has officially gone sour. Nadya Suleman's eight babies were regarded with awe when the births were first announced, but the story of her private life has turned the public against her. The public was horrified to learn that this woman already had six children (including one autistic son) thanks to fertilization.
They were further appalled to learn that Nadya reportedly worked at a fertilization clinic and chose to risk the health of her babies by refusing selective reduction. The legal and ethic ramifications for the doctors involved are staggering and what must the reluctant sperm donor, identified as David Solomon, be thinking?
The premature babies are expected to rack up two million dollars in hospital bills before they are released, and millions later to treat expected health problems and possible handicaps. Since Nadia, 33, is a professional student, she lives with her parents - that's three adults and 14 children in a three bedroom house. So Nadya is trying to drum up money by selling her story - so far Oprah and Diane Sawyer are eager to interview her.
Will diaper companies donate the thousand diapers a month needed for these babies? Americans seem to have turned on this woman and assume she's out of her mind. But we do have a twisted fascination for the details, so she probably will make a lot of money with those babies.
She shouldn't be allowed to make millions on this, but on the other hand, the government shouldn't have to pay for it either - a catch 22 situation.
She obviously needed some mental help, which she didn't get, so now there are 14 children with a loony for a mother and who knows how many with mental/physical problems. An expert on fertilization reported that implanting that many embroys was not done - usually only 2 - so where are the ethics of the doctor who did the procedure?? Frozen embroys are another big can of worms, which needs to be addressed.
She should not make money on this, she knew what she was getting into, she has several kids beforehand. Just because she loves children she was willing to take a risk. I can't talk about her anymore she makes my blood boil. I hope she doesn't get help from anyone either, she made the friggin bed, now she can lie on it!!
