The action star admits shooting holds no appeal for him, even though he fires off numerous rounds in his new film 'Defiance' and plays trigger-happy British spy James Bond.
He said: "I wouldn't touch a gun in my everyday life."
Daniel's co-star Liev Schreiber - who stars opposite Hugh Jackman in upcoming comic-book adaptation 'Wolverine' - mirrored the actor's sentiment.
He added: "I don't enjoy firing guns, either... even with fake bullets."
Despite his fear of firearms, Daniel has previously insisted he is "never scared" of performing dangerous stunts as Bond.
He said: "I'm never scared because we rehearse and rehearse. I don't just go stand on a roof and jump off it.
"The bus jump was weird in 'Quantum of Solace' was scary though, that's right I jumped out of a window on to an oncoming bus. Most of that's me.
"It beats working for a living, I suppose - jumping out of a window onto an oncoming bus!"
