The 26-year-old beauty - who was crowned Best Actress at the 14th Annual Critics Choice Awards last night (08.01.09) for her role in 'Rachel Getting Married' - is now tipped to win the prestigious Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture - Drama prize at Sunday's ceremony (11.01.09).
A star, which shows who has won the award, appeared next to Anne's name on the official website yesterday afternoon, but was removed by late last night.
A representative for the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, who run the ceremony, could not be reached for comment.
Meanwhile, Anne has spoken about how her break-up from Italian businessman Raffaello Follieri - who is currently in prison on charges of fraud and money laundering - helped make her stronger.
She said: "The whole experience made me so much closer to my family. I feel like I'm a better friend because I had to receive so much love in 2008 so I really understand what it is now to give it. It was really a transformative experience in a lot of good ways."
