The 53-year-old actor was rushed to Los Angeles' Cedars-Sinai Medical Center after he began to feel unwell while driving to a meeting.
His spokesman Arnold Robinson said: "Kevin was driving in the Hollywood area on Tuesday morning when he began to feel light-headed. He called 911 and they kept him overnight in the hospital."
The actor was given routine tests at the hospital on Tuesday (06.01.09), but when they revealed everything was normal he was allowed home.
Arnold added: "He's feeling fine and is back on his feet."
Last year, it was announced Kevin is to become a father for the sixth time.
The actor is expecting his second child with wife Christine Baumgartner, and is thrilled to be welcoming another child into the family.
A friend of the couple said: "Kevin and Christine are ecstatic. They feel so incredibly blessed right now as everything in their life is perfect.
"Kevin is really in a good place in his life and enjoys being a father and family man. They have an amazing house in Santa Barbara overlooking the ocean with lots of land to play with their growing family. Kevin is perfectly content, playing golf, eating delicious meals, drinking good wine with friends and being a dad!"
Kevin already has 20-month-old son Cayden Wyatt with Christine, and children Annie, Lily, Joe, and Liam, from previous relationships.
