Katy Perry has split from her boyfriend Travis McCoy.

The 'I Kissed A Girl' singer - who had been dating the Gym Class Heroes frontman for two years - has ended their relationship after months of troubles.

A source told Britain's News of the World newspaper: "It's sad, but they were fighting a lot in recent months because they never saw each other.

"When somebody becomes very famous very quickly their relationship usually suffers. She's going through such a huge time at the moment so needs to be on her own."

Devastated Travis - who has previously claimed his relationship with Katy brought him back from the brink during a self-destructive time in his life - has been posting lyrics by hip-hop act Main Source on his on his personal blog to express his upset.

They read: "We fight every night, now that's not kosher. I reminisce with bliss of when we was closer."

He adds: "My laptop is my new b***h, LOYAL, LISTENS, and NEVER LETS ME DOWN!"
