Dr Dre’s son died of an overdose

Los Angeles County coroner spokesman Larry Dietz confirmed today that 20 year-old Andre Young Jr., son of musician Dr Dre, passed away following a lethal combination of opiates.“This case has been closed,” Dietz told People Magazine exclusively today. It's been ruled an accident due to morphine and heroin intoxication.”Young was found “unresponsive” by his mother in their Woodland Hills home on the morning of August 23rd. He was pronounced dead at the scene.The coroner’s office later learned Andre “had been out with friends” the night before and had been heard snoring by his mother.Dre’s publicist issued a statement reading, “Dr. Dre is mourning the loss of his son. Please respect his family's grief and privacy at this time."Dre has four other children."It's unexplainable to someone who has never experienced it, how it feels to bury your child," rapper Xzibit told People. "I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. It just makes me hold on to the child I have even tighter because life is never promised. So I'm sure Dre is holding on tighter."
