Madonna and Guy Ritchie spent Christmas together.
The couple enjoyed a festive feast at Guy's country estate Ashcombe House in Wiltshire - which he was awarded as part of their divorce settlement - with their two sons Rocco, eight, and three-year-old David Bana.
Madonna's 12-year-old daughter Lourdes is believed to have stayed in the US with her father Carlos Leon.
A source said: "They're adamant that the kids come first even if it means spending time together under one roof for occasions like birthdays and Christmas."
Madonna and Guy - who announced they were divorcing after almost eight years of marriage earlier this year - travelled to London on Boxing Day (26.12.08).
While in the capital, they both attended a Kabbalah - an offshoot of Judaism - meeting, although they did not arrive together.
Last week it was reported Guy had insisted Madonna obeyed a strict set of rules if she wanted to spend Christmas with her children.
The British film director - who decided to allow Madonna to stay at his UK mansion after previously refusing to let her sleep in the same house - was said to have warned his estranged wife not to bully the staff, throw tantrums or mention their impending divorce.
