The 'Bedtime Stories' actor and comedian likes to get into character when he regales tales to daughters Sadie, two, and newborn Sunny, who is a month old.
Adam, 42, said: "I like to dress up as the lead character in whatever story I am reading. This is a little weird because my daughter loves the Disney princesses. But you'd be surprised at how good I look in a ball gown.
"I hold the storybook and make up my own stories with the characters. This backfired when my daughter started watching movies and realised that Cinderella didn't drive for NASCAR."
Adam also revealed he most enjoyed his father reading to him from an encyclopaedia when he was growing up.
He added: "It only took him seven years to finish the full encyclopaedia, but it helped me to learn how to sleep in class without the teacher knowing.
"My father used to read me the newspaper to put me to sleep. I tried to do that, but Sadie would always finish the crossword puzzle before me, so I stopped."
In 'Bedtime Stories', Adam plays a hotel handyman who reads bedtime stories to his niece and nephew which then start coming true. The more outrageous the stories get, the more out of control his life becomes.
