Its about time most drugs were declared legal so that police can spend time fighting real crime and violance instead of stopping people from having a good time the way they want.

I suspect that most American live within a mile or so of someone who abuses drugs. Those who are politically pious enough will probably get tarred and feathered by those who resent such pandering. As a public figure, Governor Palin is certainly a target, and I doubt if she has any regrets about becoming either. So be it. I just wish we would leave her family out of the Internet pillory.

You chose where you want to go. We will go the other way. We may even throw in help in your defense after we get settled, since you guys are so anti-military. You are quick to assume that the people talking trash are registered Democrats. Isn’t it funny how we jump on each other because of party lines even if it is assumed? I do think that kind of talk is childish, and I am sure there are people who just enjoy posting vulgar messages, but your comment: “eveyone posting here has an IQ equivlence of a garbage can [sic]” is really in the same vein.

I am not a Palin fan, but think this news article isn’t a big deal only to point out that the woman tried to come across as a great Christian mother, but some how her teenage daughter got knocked up by a boy whose mother is a druggie. If she was that great of a mother her daughter would be dating a young man from a good Christian family, and would definitely not be pregnant! Sarah life does not reflect the way she presents herself, and I think the media has picked up on it, so they will keep posting news articles like these. I am sure we will read about Bristol having her baby out of wedlock this summer.

Any comment about Alaska from an outsider or anyone who has not lived in the State can be pointless. How would it seem if any one from any State would blast a place they have never lived in.

Alaska is unkown to so many people. I didn't know much about the State of Alaska until I moved there in 2003. It is a State just like every other State in the U.S..

Regardless of what the Media might say about 'our' Governor, She is either loved or hated in our State. I think what some one could have an issue with, is how she wants her daughter to get married to a guy whose, 'family' is questionable. If my daughter was pregnant, I would help her, I would not force a choice on her but I would hope she would keep the child. I say that because I can help my kids, I know not everyone can do that. I respect people's choices in this difficult issue.

Sara Palin I feel, truly misses the issues of family that she talks about and uses for her platform. I think a real mom would have passed on the limelight and put family first. There is so much to be disappointed in Sara Palin regardless of who you are and how you feel.

Rush received a freedom medal from George Bush for his efforts in seeing that his secretary was blamed for his addiction to this particular drug. For example: within the past couple of weeks, General Motors has opened a plant to build Chevrolets in St. Petersburg, Russia. Do you suppose GM will 'export' Ameraican workers as well, or ask Russia for a bailout? Another example: within the past couple of months, Iraq's 'government' has signed a deal with China--yes, CHINA--to allow the China-owned oil company to develop a huge oil field--al Ahdab--near Baghdad. Has the United States sacrificed all that blood and resources so that China can have the oil?

Sarah Palin is simply a backgoods individual who owes her 'comingout' to John McCain. Few people had ever heard of this woman until the repub convention. She did very well 'reading' the teleprompter; however, when it came to actually communicating on her own volition, the woman simply did not have the smarts or intelligence to do it. She came off as being extremely ignorant and unfamiliar with world events outside of Wasilla. She couldn't even name ONE magazine/book she had read, and, outside of the abortion issues, she could NOT name any other action in which the Supreme Court was involved. The far right might have been impressed with her far-right political agendas, however, that does not make up for the lack of true intelligence and lack of knowledge of world events. She is so far behind the times that even her Alaskan attire was not suitable for campaigning and the RNC had to literally dress Sarah and her family at the expense of their supporters. Sarah Palin, I think, should be embarrased by her conduct and her acceptance of clothing bought by campaign donations from people who cannot afford to buy a new pair of shoes or a warm coat!! Now this issue with her daughter's mother-in-law!! How could Sarah not know what that woman was doing?? Are the son and Bristol doing drugs as well? How about Sarah?? Could this account for her apparent stupidity and gross comments?? Something to think about. If Sarah was not aware of her daughter's activities in the sex department, surely she would not be aware of Bristol's possible/probable drug use. It is clear Sarah does NOT pay attention to what her kids are up to, she is too busy smiling and winking her way to being a politician!

That sarah Palin really lives in a tempest!

Then again, we once had a governor, from Arkansas (where else!?) who had a woman delivered like a Pizza, by state police, to a motel, where he exposed himself to her, and then groped her!

Democrats elected him President of the United States

Then, he perpetrated an S&L hoax

Let Puerto Rican terrorists be pardoned

Took money for Influence like Blagojevich

Pardoned Marc Rich for $1 million in DNC donations

Obtained 800 FBI files on innocent Americans for his own use

Lost his license to practice law

Still sells his wife's Senate influence for money to his 'Foundation' (that's what they call them now)

Porked an intern and his wife called it 'counseling'
He now wants to be Senator from New York

She's now the Seceratary of State

Palin:

hahahahahahahahahahahaha!

Chadiam, morale values begin in the home not outside of it. You seem to blame'society' for Sarah Palin's woes. Parents teach their children right from wrong, they teach them family and social values, you know, don't drink and drive, do not engage in sexual activities, do not steal, do not kill, do not lie, and so on. The thing about Sarah Palin and her family is: Sarah preaches abstinance, yet her teenage daughter is pregnant out of wedlock, her future mother-in-law is a drug dealer (?) and Sarah Palin has no idea?? It is clear to me Sarah Palin has spent very little time communicating with her daughter as the daughter seems to be doing EVERTHING her mother wants OTHERS not do. It is time to quit blaming 'society' for everyone's illegal behavior; each person is responsible for his/her behavior. If you are not taught good values, you will not have them, period. And what was Bristol's good example of abstinance? Sarah herself was pregnant before she was married!! Like mother like daughter! Suddenly Sarah became a proponent of abstinance when she herself did not abide by it!

This story wouldn't be so relevant if Palin, during her campaign, (1) had not been touting small-town America as the 'real' America. Yep, we can be proud of our small towns, especially when they contain real American drug dealers. What has Palin done for Wasilla, if despite her mayoralty it retains a reputation as meth capital of Alaska? Where does she get the gall to hold that up as a patriotic example for the rest of America? (2) Then there was the continual use of her children as props throughout her campaign. If she hadn't brought her pregnant daughter and prospective son-in-law to the Republican convention, she might have earned them some of the privacy that they deserve. (3) And then there was the constant 'guilt-by-association' lines she kept throwing at Obama. If she had avoided conducting a smear campaign, it wouldn't be appropriate to make a big deal of her own family's associations. She brought this on herself. McCain did all Americans and the Palin family in particular a disservice by choosing her. But as long as she and others continue to hold her out as a possible candidate for some national office, she has opened up herself and, regrettably, her family to public scrutiny.

Not sure you read my comment. Morale values begin in the home that is true. You talk to your kids you explain right and wrong, but at the end of the day they still have free will and may make a bad decision weather you like it or not. I guess you would be happier if she stoned her daughter to death. I think the thing most people like about her is she excepts her daughters mistakes and instead of compounding it she tried to do what is best for her daughter. You say 'If you are not taught good values' how do you know what she was taught. So every girl that has gotten pregnant is from a bad family or there mother is at fault. You also say 'time to quit blaming 'society' for everyone's illegal behavior; each person is responsible for his/her behavior' you right It is also time to stop blaming Sarah Palin for everything that happens that you don’t like. She clearly believes that the company one keeps, even if only tangentially, is subject to close scrutiny. Well, what goes around comes around. And while it's unlikely that she is bosom buddies with her daughter's baby daddy's mother, certainly the governor would agree that such a relationship should be held up to the light of day.

For those Palin apologists who ask people not to judge her (or her family): There is a reason right wingers should be held to higher standards - they sermonize to the rest of us about morals, family values, blah blah.

People pile on Palin when they see out-of-wedlock pregnency and drug use in her family (and family to be) because she wouldn't have let it go if it happened to others. She would have talked down to them till they're ashamed of themselves. She wouldve said they're not 'real America' that works hard and follows God's path.

Hipocricy gets people riled up. Simple.

Get real

Since when did she become responsible for the life of her future son in laws mother?
Oh of course ...she is suppose to know all that goes on in the private life of everyone

And of course none of us have problems with our kids and drugs in the neighborhood...right?
Our kids are all angels....

Now 'legalize all drugs'
There is a bright statement... ,high drivers ,stoned any time you want to be
Bet ya a dollar that guy cant pass a drug test...

'trailer trash life' ?
Glad to know all the rest of the world lives in the Disney pristine life fairy tale.

If you don't like the lady for her politics as McCains running mate
Well .. thats ok
But then ,you don't live there in Alaska and don't have to deal with her. Right?

Oh ..I am sorry ..you are close friends with her and therefore know all the details of her life ,not just the media side.

Give the lady a fair break and seperate real issues from the bull.

Palin's Hotter Than Hot, do listen to yourself when you talk, or just drift in and out? You're advocating segregation and secession- are you serious?? Since your rivals now have an overwhelming majority after the GOP's PROVEN legislative and philosophical FAILURES, perhaps we should take you up on your offer and segregate your kind in that Git'mo that ya'll love sooo much. I hear they have some kind of new sport there called 'waterboarding'.

Palin and her 'circle' are obviously low-grade redneck trash. That punk that knocked-up Bristol is a mega-loser and appears to fit right in with the Palin Family. Why are so many Americans proud of being ignorant? Why all the hatred of intellect? It has been the redneckery of GW that has all but destroyed our nation, and people want more of the same (Palin). I need to puke.

Don't have to be a Disney family, but don't have to be trash either. The Palin clan is disgusting. Their MySpace pages showed that. A stupid, teenage, pregnant sow boozing with her man-slut Levi- geeesz! Almost had that trash in the Whitehouse. Imagine a WWF Smackdown on the Whitehouse lawn, or ripping the grounds to shreds with monster trucks? Okie music at state functions? The return of the mullet? Good God!

Chadiam,I am not saying Sarah Palin is responsible for her daughter's future mother's in law actions; however, I do believe Sarah would discourage her daughter from entering into such a family IF she had taken the time to KNOW the woman and the family. As I said, it is clear Sarah Palin does not pay attention to what her daughter has been up to. As far as Sarah Palin being responsible for her daughter's behavior....well, Bristol IS a minor and Sarah Palin IS responsible to and for her. The fact that Sarah Palin PREACHES abstinance and family values to the rest of America IS hypocritical as her own daughter does not listen to her mom...which begs the question, how can Sarah Palin preach to American girls and women about abstinance when SHE, HERSELF, did not abide by it and her own daughter did not abide by it?? I do not believe this is being critical, I am merely pointing out that Sarah Palin clean up her own backyard before she preaches to the rest of us. With her, it is: Do as I say and not do as I do. As far as the mother-in-law to be, she is responsible for her own actions, however, since she is going to be Bristol's mother-in-law, her actions DO reflect badly on Bristol and Sarah. Sarah Palin proved to the world she believes in 'guilt by association', except when it comes to her and her family. Another 'moral' factor in which Sarah is being a hypocrite. You and I are entitled to our opinions, just like everyone else. Because we disagree does not make me 'wrong' nor does your opinion make you 'wrong'. Some 66 percent of our country saw and see Sarah as a big hypocrite, I am in that 66 percent. The other 33 percent choose to think she is wonderful, and that is okay too. I am just very grateful she is not our new VP! :)

Agreed. And that 33% would probably vote a third term for GWB. That is an alarmingly large number of massively stupid people.

The Palin gang are all similar to Levi's mom. They are from Wasilla, the Meth Center of Alaska. I doubt Sarah had any higher expectations for her kid than Levi. His family is the quintessential Alaskan clan. Just like the Palins. You know, white trash.

Time to take out the trash. Eight long years was not quite enough for the Republicans to destroy the country. Close, very close, but we look to have survived.

Time for you Republicans to be held accountable. Preaching all high and mighty and doing the opposite is what you are about and Sarah and her clan are just the latest example. Do as I say not as I do is crap and John Q. Public has FINALLY figured out your twisted game.

Comparing Clinton's faults with those of W is a JOKE! One got a BJ and lied about it and the other is a war criminal who has trashed our beloved Constitution. That you can not see the difference in the severity of these transgressions proves that you are not living in the real world. Attempting to reason with the insane is just that, INSANE so I shall no longer try.

You tried and failed to get Clinton for a land deal that he lost money on 8 years before he was elected President. Sure you got him for lying about sex and for that I am sure you are very proud.

Can't wait to see what comes out in the wash when we get a chance to see what you dirtbags have been up to over the last 8 years! Payback is a bitch.

As far as people being worried that Palin will be back in Washington - I've got a simple answer for that - don't ever vote for her for anything!

This isn't news! This isn't her family! Not yet at least. Media is soooo misleading! I thought part of her family was going to be in this article. This has NOTHING to do with Sarah Palin and cannot possibly reflect on who she is. This isn't even a FRIEND of Sarah Palin. Lets remember the facts - It's a woman who happened to have a son who knocked up a daughter of a governor. That's it. To somehow associate this woman with Sarah Palin in a negitive light is proposterous. I'm sure each and every one of you has some relative or aquantance that has done something felonious, but do you want people holding that against you for mearly being 3 degrees of seperation?
