Kate Hudson says the most vital element of any wedding is "the bar".
The 'Bride Wars' actress - who married Black Crowes frontman Chris Robinson in 2000 but split from him six years later - insists nuptials are only fun if there is an endless supply of alcoholic beverages.
Asked if she had any advice for couples who were taking the plunge, Kate told Modern Bride magazine: "Number one, make sure you're ready to get married, that you're really sure you want to do this.
"And number two, I would say really good placement of the bar! At a wedding you want to have a good time. Have special cocktails that are really fun for people."
Kate recently revealed she is planning to "stay single as long as possible" as she is enjoying playing the field for the first time in her life.
She said: "I'm actually enjoying being single right now because I really never have been.
"I feel good in relationships, I enjoy them. I feel my best when I'm in something solid. But it's also the first time I've ever taken a step back and gotten a new perspective.
"So, I've made a conscious decision to try to stay single as long as possible."
