EPA/CLAUDIO ONORATIPlans to build a new drama venue to be named after the late actor - who died of an accidental prescription drugs overdose in January - were drawn up earlier this year by then-Western Australia Premier Alan Carpenter, but the current state Premier, Colin Barnett, has announced the $87 million centre will now have a more "diverse title".Heath's life will still be recognised with the creation of a 575-seat theatre inside the new State Theatre Centre of Western Australia.Australia's Culture and Arts Minister John Day said: "A great deal of consideration has been given to the name of the venue and this has involved consultation with the Ledger family, who are pleased Heath is being acknowledged in this way, and a range of stakeholders. "The name, State Theatre Centre, strongly identifies the venue as a place of civic pride for all Western Australians and will be a venue where audiences can enjoy high-quality performing arts by local, national and international artists."Meanwhile, Michelle Williams has dismissed reports she will accept an award on Heath's behalf.The actress - who was engaged to Heath until September 2007 and has a three-year-old daughter, Matilda, with him - denied speculation she had been approached to accept the Best Supporting Actor prize which the late star has been posthumously nominated for at the forthcoming Golden Globes ceremony in recognition for his portrayal of The Joker in 'A Dark Knight'.Her spokesperson said: "No discussions have been made for Michelle to accept nor are there any plans to take part."

'State Theatre'? What a boring name for something representing art! I wish my city could claim Heath Ledger. Perth is it? You did not appreciate what you had.I had never heard of you before I saw Heath Ledger rave about you and Australia. Be ashamed of yourself!
