The 63-year-old actress insists beauty can be applied to men as well as women and singled out the soccer star as an "Adonis".
She said: "I am just not beautiful. Keira Knightley is beautiful and Kate Moss - it's about having a pure aesthetic.
"And men can be beautiful. The most beautiful of all, the Adonis of our time, is David Beckham. Everything about his face is just?"
'The Queen' star also had praise for David's wife, Spice Girls star turned fashion designer Victoria.
She added: "Victoria is stylish to the max. And she's gorgeous, though I wish she'd smile a little more."
Helen hopes to follow in Victoria's footsteps to launch her own clothing line.
She explained to Britain's Glamour magazine: "I would call it DWS: Dresses With Sleeves. There are no dresses with sleeves and we need to bring back the sleeve: fine, see-through, long or short."
