I insisted on a lot of takes."In the movie, Beyonce stars as legendary troubled singer Etta James, while Adrien plays record boss Leonard Chess. Although the pair never canoodled in real life, Adrien claims writing the romance into the movie was essential.He added: "When I met Etta, she told me, 'Leonard and I did not do those things!' So, yes, it was somewhat embellished. But what's wonderful is the truth Beyonce brings to that moment. That justified it."Beyonce, who married rapper Jay-Z earlier this year, also revealed she enjoyed kissing her enthusiastic 35-year-old co-star.The 27-year-old star said: "It wasn't so bad. I remember when he kissed Halle Berry. He's not shy! Not at all."
