Kate Winslet is happy being "imperfect".
'The Reader' actress - who recently appeared in a computer-improved sexy Vanity Fair magazine shoot - is finally comfortable with the way she looks and her curvaceous figure.
She said: "I'm happy with who I am. I have grown more comfortable in my own skin for all its marks and scars and imperfections.
"There's no such thing as perfect and I'm happy to be imperfect."
The star - who shot to fame after her role in 1997 blockbuster 'Titanic' opposite Leonardo DiCaprio - wowed the crowd at the New York premiere of 'The Reader' with her dramatically slimmed down figure last night (04.12.08).
The 33-year-old - who is married to 'American Beauty' director Sam Mendes - admitted she struggled with comments about her physique during the early stages of her career.
She said on the red carpet: "I had a rough ride in my early 20s. When I became aware of people talking about whether I was fat or thin it was hard and shocking and hurtful."
'The Reader' is released worldwide in January.
