Fatherhood and Heath Ledger's accidental death served to inspire Fall Out Boy's lead hedonist Pete Wentz to change his ways.

In the latest Details magazine, Wentz revealed how he had an epiphany and came to the conclusion he had to grow up.
The new dad, record label owner, bassist and songwriter is busy building a fashion empire and acting career too.
Wentz has a robust record label, Decaydance, which he oversees bands—including Panic at the Disco, Gym Class Heroes, and the Academy Is... .
MTV loves him and greenlit another season of the video rating and live performance show FNMTV, which he hosts.
The rocker cites Jay-Z as a role model, and he is branching into Sly, Bruce and Arnold-land with a Planet Hollywood-type place called Angels & Kings, a cool and upscale hang for the emo crowd.
The biggest influence according to his new interview in Details is the arrival of his bairn: Bronx Mowgli Wentz.
When Wentz found out about the news he was to be a dad, he was in Chile with Fall Out Boy, preparing to play a show in nearby Antarctica.
"I was like, 'Oh my God, this might be the worst possible time to have this conversation,'" he tells Details. "I was definitely scared," Wentz says, "just thinking, This is something that's going to exist for the rest of your life and you can't f*ck it up."
"It was a happy accident," he says. "But I think that certain things happen for a reason in your life, and maybe it was time to put the wild child in a cage."
As for drugs, Wentz was diagnosed with ADHD and depression and says, "I don't know, you name it—whatever happened to be the trendy disorder that week." .
Wentz suffered from anxiety as he grew older. Having an attack preflight, Wentz shared, "I was like, Man, I don't want to do this. It doesn't seem worth it," he says. Though he was briefly on lithium—which was "zombifying, you're, like, drooling"—Xanax and Klonopin were his favorites. "For a while, I was a total drugstore cowboy," he adds. "I had The Pill Book, which is awesome because I could learn every shape and number, and then be like, 'Those are the blue footballs, those are the bars ...'"
And the rumors he took a photo of his penis that made it online? True.
"Penisgate," as he "brought Wentz and Simpson together. Simpson, after all, had recently survived her own public shaming on Saturday Night Live. 'She just called me up and made me feel a lot better,' " he tells Details. Link
